Is no always a bad thing?

I remember when I was small around 4 years old. I really wanted to touch the iron. I don’t know why, but I was just curious to see what this mysterious machine that was magically straightening out all the clothes was about. My mum had told me not to touch it, that I have to wait till she said I could. In any case, while she went to the bathroom, I climbed onto the edge of the couch, and managed to stretch enough to touch the iron. And we all know the ending to that story. Crying kid with a burnt finger.

Have you ever prayer over something and was hoping God would answer you in the next second, hour, or sometime during that day? Or have you already been told an answer, but you want to do things your own way? Friends, whatever your situation is, listen to God and seek His will and His answers to your life’s questions and requests. Sometimes the answer is no or not yet, but it all stems from His love for you. God knows us better than we could ever know ourselves. And His love for us is greater than we could ever love ourselves too. Even if your prayers are not answered in the way you hoped, you can have peace knowing that He has good plans for you, we only need to trust Him.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” - Jeremiah 29:11

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for your love for me. It is beyond what I could ever imagine. Help me to seek your will and your answer, in your perfect timing. Help me to remember that you care for each of your children, that I am precious to you. You know what is best for me, so help me to trust you even when the answer isn’t what I want.

In Jesus name I pray,
